How the goals are scored?

We analyzed over twenty factors (including age, weight, height, bmi, nationality, foreigners, newcomers, contract duration, contract expiration, rotation) in order to find out what correlates with winning in soccer. Results showed that only goals scored had a p value over .950. So, our interest focused on how the goals are scored. Have you ever wondered that? We performed notation analysis in a sample of Greek Super League goals for season 2011/2012 and present you the main findings:

Goalpost zone:
Goalkeepers find it difficult to save a shot in their lower right corner (image, animation).

Mistake reason:
Most goals are scored because of a lost personal challenge. We watched with surprise, 10% of the goals to be scored because a defender fell into the ground.
